CEO Jonas: “Thank you Vegas, what an InfoComm!"

Last week’s InfoComm18 show in Las Vegas was a huge success for Huddly, with a packed booth throughout the event, a tremendous reception for the new technology we showcased and 17 very happy (and tired) Huddly team members.

We had a chat with a delighted Huddly CEO Jonas Rinde on Friday afternoon as the show came to a close to get his thoughts on what was a momentous event for the company.

“An overwhelming response”

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the feedback from partners, customers and friends. We’ve had a massive amount of people in the booth at all times throughout the event and we’ve been overbooked from the first day which was tremendous. By the second day we even had a line of people outside the booth who were eager to check out what we were doing and see the demos, so a big thank you to all those guys and girls who took the time to visit us.”

An invite to the “Huddly experience”

“What I’m most proud of is how my colleagues in Huddly have been delivering awesome demos, helping people coming into the booth and giving this kind of “Huddly experience”. They’ve done such a good job that we’ve even had people coming back to visit us 4 or 5 times, bringing their colleagues, their customers and friends to show what we have running in the booth. Many of them have even been doing the demos and showcasing our technology themselves – we’ve been offering to help them out but they said “no worries, we’ve got this covered”, which we certainly didn’t expect. That’s actually something that was important for us during our preparation – to find the perfect balance between showing demos that are advanced and interesting but easy to do as well, so I’ve been delighted to see that.”

“I’m also very proud of how our new AI technology has been received – we’ve been showing auto zoom, people detection and also object detection and the feedback on that has been really strong. The whole team has been working very hard on it so I’m really happy that the visitors here have responded so positively to all their hard work.

“The level of interaction here in the booth has been fantastic too – people love the design and the demos have really captured people’s imagination so that’s been very rewarding. I also think we have a record here in terms of how many coffees we have prepared. I think there’s been around 6-700 coffees served, so people have been enjoying our Norwegian coffee beans which has been a blast.”

“I’d also like to say a big thank you to all our partners. We also announced our new partnership with Crestron for the Crestron Mercury product the first day of the show which got a lot of attention and gave us a real boost just as the doors opened.”

“So, as InfoComm comes to a close, I’d like to give a big thanks again to all our customers, partners and friends for coming to visit us. This has been a fantastic event for us and it has really exceeded all our expectations. We couldn’t have hoped for a better response so we are humbled and it has only made us more determined to continue to create great products, deliver awesome experiences to our customers and to build even stronger relationships with our great partners.
