Commodity Manager

Huddly is growing, and we are looking for a Commodity Manager to join our team in changing the future of video meetings. If you are an ambitious, talented team player with a passion for bringing products to markets across the globe, we would love to hear from you. 

In your role as Commodity Manager at Huddly, you will be part of the Operations team, whose primary responsibility is ensuring deliveries to our customers. We are an active part of the product timeline from New Product Introduction to End Of Life. We interact with all areas of the organization as well as our manufacturers and suppliers. 

Specifically, we are looking for someone who can pay extra attention to cost level in the Supply Chain. As Commodity Manager, you should be self-driven, proactive, and comfortable negotiating.  

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth operations throughout the whole value chain
  • Issue RFQs and negotiate terms (1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier)
  • Establish and take ownership of a BOM cost optimization program
  • Work together with the R&D team on technology, supplier selection, and value engineering 
  • Some travel can be expected

Skills and qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Finance
  • Relevant experience may compensate for formal education
  • Experienced with contract evaluation and negotiations for volume products
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to take ownership of your work, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
