Why does my Huddly C1 audio sound poor when I connect my laptop (BYOD mode)?
In BYOD mode, your laptop’s meeting app decides which microphone and speaker it uses. Most poor-audio reports come from the app or operating system picking a different device than Huddly C1, such as the laptop’s built-in microphone or the display speakers.
Teams and Zoom can switch back to a different device between meetings, so please check this at the start of each meeting.
Quick checks
- Select Huddly C1 in your meeting app. In the audio and video settings, set Huddly C1 as the microphone, speaker and camera.
- Microsoft Teams: Settings —> Devices —> Audio devices
- Zoom: Settings —> Audio, and Settings —> Video
- Use the right port. Connect your laptop to the C1’s BYOD port (port A) with a supported USB cable.
