The software update failed: what should I do?

If you have tried to update your camera in the Connect App but the update failed, please see below for the next steps:

  • Reboot your device by unplugging and replugging your camera. Confirm the current firmware in Huddly Connect App → Settings → Camera Info to verify if the update has failed and the update prompt is still appearing.
  • For L1 on firmware 1.3.3 or older: you must use the Network Adapter (H3BA) to upgrade as the USB Adapter (H3SA) cannot update from versions older than 1.3.3. Once this upgrade has been completed, you can continue using the USB Adapter.
  • For C1 / C1 Crew / Crew (with or without Add-On cameras): if the LED flashes white continuously after upgrade, please power cycle the device and recheck status in Huddly Connect App.
  • If the issue persists, send in logs via Huddly Connect App → Settings → Support and Logs, and share the reference ID with Support. For more information about sending in logs, please see this FAQ.
  • Can I disable automatic updates? Yes. In the HCS config file set "SoftwareUpdateHourOfDay": "-1", or block Huddly update domains at network level. See this Huddly Camera Service FAQ for details.
